RtNCA Presentation at TIE 2011

The West Central School District went through the process of district ‎

accreditation for the first time in the Spring of ‎2009‎. ‎After review, the ‎

AdvancEd‎/‎NCA team identified a need for the West Central School District ‎

to improve both the ‎"‎quality‎" ‎and ‎"‎quantity‎" ‎of technology in the district‎. ‎In ‎

response to this feedback, we took aggressive measures to improve the ‎

application of technology to support teaching and learning‎. ‎Additional ‎

amounts have budgeted for the use of technology, including a ‎1‎-‎to‎-‎1 ‎

initiative at the high school, multiple Promethean boards at all levels, and a ‎

large dose of professional development for all staff‎. ‎This development has ‎

focused not only on the use of applications on the computers but also ‎

integration of these applications into the curriculum‎. ‎Presenters will show ‎

the highs and lows of making this systemic change‎.‎
