Empowering Staff to Integrate Tech Presentation at TIE 2011

The West Central School District has gotten creative with a unique ‎

approach and delivery of professional development the last few years‎. ‎We ‎

have purchased a variety of new technologies PreK‎-‎12 ‎and have gone ‎

1‎-‎to‎-‎1 ‎at the high school in just the last two years‎. ‎With new technology ‎

comes a need for professional support‎. ‎Join us and get a glimpse of the ‎

many steps we have taken to encourage and empower teachers to ‎

integrate technology‎. ‎We use a differentiated model to reach the varying ‎

levels of comfort with technology and give teachers the opportunity to ‎

choose specific areas of interest‎. ‎Like many other districts, we‎’‎ve been ‎

working on cost‎-‎effective ways to deliver professional development and ‎

encourage best practice‎.‎
